Svavar Knútur // Ida Gratte

Next week on September 22nd Svavar Knútur (ISL) & our own Ida Gratte will come to Söderport in Kalmar to create a legendary evening. It will be a Nordic fusion of folk music where legends and strings come together. Read more about the event here and get your tickets now!

Svavar hails from the barren northern regions of Iceland and has dedicated his life to exploring the human condition through the country’s dark and often tragic history, as well as its unique melodies and storytelling tradition. Anyone who has experienced a concert by Svavar Knútur will remember it for a long time.

Ida Gratte has released two albums and an EP; on the latter, she hinted at a change in language, and now she has begun releasing singles from her upcoming album, which will be her first in English. Her acoustic guitars and storytelling remain front and center, but we encounter a slightly more subdued Ida.
