With the carefree energy of Fleetwood Mac and the whimsical lyricism of Lana Del Rey, Swedish singer, songwriter, and producer Flora Summers entered the alt-pop stage in 2023 with her self-made single and title track, “Obsessions.”
Her vintage pop debut EP landed in March 2024, showcasing remarkable talent and an innate ability to convey her honest emotions, making her an upcoming artist to keep an eye on. Swedish magazine HYMN praised her, stating: “It may very well be that Flora Summers is our country’s next big pop export.”
PopPassion wrote: “The remarkable artist captivates listeners with her stunning vocals and honest lyrics, making her one of the best artists of the modern era. With ‘Stockholm Music Business Syndrome’, Summers once again has proven that she has the talent, determination, and tenacity to become the next big superstar.”
Currently studying at renowned Musikmakarna – the Songwriter’s Academy of Sweden, and chosen to participate in Dua Lipa’s Sunny Hill Songwriting Camp in Kosovo, Summers continues to expand her creative horizons and refine her craft among some of the most promising talents in international pop.
Working on new music, Summers’ sophomore EP, “Beauty is Pain,” is expected to drop in spring 2026.
“‘Beauty is Pain’ is me diving deeper into the Flora Summers universe. I wanted to see how far I could push my music, sound- and genre-wise, while still staying close to something fragile, honest, and deeply mine.”
Born and raised on the island of Öland, Sweden, Summers grew up surrounded by music. She is also one-half of the electro-pop duo Isle of You, who were nominated for Artist of the Future at the Swedish Radio P3 Guld Awards in 2020.
