Gravy Train was formed in a small cramped rehearsal room at the shipyard in Oskarshamn. The year was 2019 and since then it has been full speed ahead. The band started out as a solo project for guitarist, singer and songwriter Jonas Frykman, but quickly turned into a real band. Because what’s better than the band feeling? The feeling of belonging together. The feeling of pulling in the same direction and fighting for the same goal.
All six members have a broad musical background and have dipped their toes in everything from synthpop and punk to jazz, blues and death metal!
The love of country and roots united the band and today they create their own version that has been well received all over the world. Great reviews from many corners of the world have been pouring in in recent years. The streaming figures are not huge but show that the listeners like what they hear. The fan base is growing slowly but surely.
Today, Gravy Train is signed to Gothenburg-based Rexius Records. With their support, the band has released seven songs (more than 20 in total since 2019).
