The band Humla is a mix of the Backstreet Boys and Céline Dion, without the dancing.
Humla is a trio from Vimmerby that consists of Isack Hubbard, Henrik Svensson, and Albin Karlsson and they have played together in various forms for many years, so Humla actually came about quite naturally. Three people who always sat and made music together anyway, and has now been around in this shape since 2020.
“We don’t stick to any particular genre. Sometimes it’s pop, sometimes something more acoustic, sometimes pure party music. We mostly follow our gut feeling and the desire to try new things, rather than a clear template.”
Over the past year, Humla have released several singles and their first EP “Tankar före 30”. It revolves a lot around things we ourselves think about – small-town life, relationships, and everything in between. Our song “Nyans” also took us to the finals of P4 Nästa Kalmar, which gave us a little extra push forward.
In the band, Albin writes the lyrics, Isack sings, and Henrik produces and arranges – but everything is shaped together. Ultimately, we make music because it’s fun, and if people are moved by it, that’s just a bonus.
