Mollie Minott is a Swedish singer and wellness entrepreneur who creates indie/pop-based music with retro undertones.
Her career started at the age of 15 when she sang the mega-hit “You´re Beautiful” with James Blunt on national TV. A few years later, she was the runner-up on Avicii Arena in Sweden’s biggest entertainment show “Idol”.
“You are music,” says songwriter, music producer and Idol jury member Anders Bagge, during the show.
Since her breakthrough on Idol, Mollie has written several songs, appeared on popular TV shows and toured internationally and around Sweden. Among others with the summer tour “Diggiloo” and the organization “Star For Life” in their concert series in Sweden and South Africa. A notable release is the song “Follow” – the soundtrack to the popular youth series “Eagles” set in Oskarshamn, and where one of the characters is based on the singer and her youth in the small town.
The multi-talented singer, only 27 years old, is destined to be on the big stages as well as the most intimate corners with just a guitar and a voice. A voice often described as a mix between Agnes Carlsson, Ella Fitzgerald and Chaka Khan.
With years of experience in the industry, Mollie is looking to change a not always so healthy side of the music world. Her role as a wellness entrepreneur was formed during the pandemic when she was studying to become a licensed personal trainer. After that, an idea was born to link two specialties together. In autumn 2023, the singer will release her long-awaited debut album where the health perspective is reflected through lyrics about seeking the balance between physical, mental, spiritual and social needs and how these aspects affect our well-being.
